Health Checks

On average, most of our pets age five to eight times faster than humans. Major health changes can occur in a short amount of time. The risk of cancer, diabetes, obesity, arthritis, heart disease and other serious conditions all increase with age.

Today’s pets are living longer than ever, chances are that many may experience a potentially serious illness during their lifetime. Annual health checks can help your veterinarian diagnose, treat or even prevent problems before they become life-threatening.
They’re also a great opportunity to ask us about nutrition, behaviour or any other concerns or husbandry questions you may have.

Your animal companion's examination is conducted in a systematic fashion suitable to their species. Anxious or fearful animals will be approached kindly and all effort will be made to provide your pet with a smooth clinic visit, while still providing safety for you and your staff.

If you have a highly anxious or aggressive pet, please feel free to speak with our veterinarian about pre-visit strategies and medications to make your pet's visit both safe and positive.  Our clinic does not use strong sedative medication for this purpose unless absolutely necessary for human safety, but other medications or non-medical products may benefit your pet.
